As a concerned pet parent of the past decades, I always felt somewhat uneasy applying even the least amount of off the shelf pesticides in or around my home. If this stuff poisons the bugs, what else is it poisoning? This question was always in the back of my mind and it took a very serious turn when in 2007 my maternal uncle was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. My entire family, including myself, could only ask one thing: Why? At the time, my uncle was only in his early 50s and if one could be the picture of heath, he was it. This guy does not drink nor smoke and he is one of the rare people that kept his weight down close to what it was in college. He takes pride in taking care of himself. So why this dreaded cancer? I immediately started researching for causes of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. The common thread? Pesticides! You see, my uncle was the owner/operator of an exterminating company in addition to his regular job. He exterminated as a second job for many years while my aunt was a stay at home mom with their two children. This was during the years of Chlordane®, Lindane® and Dursban®... all scary stuff. Fortunately, my uncle was treated at one of the best cancer facilities in the country and the cancer went into remission. It returned in 2009; he was treated again at MD Anderson Cancer Center. I am happy to report again that he is currently in remission.
When the dangers of pesticide use hit this close to home, it's a call for action and I hope this true story will spur you to stop using synthetic toxic pesticides in and around YOUR home. Contact us at AlwaysEco for your next service.

My family found out last week that my uncle's Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma has morphed into prostate cancer. The doctor that is treating him for prostate cancer is now consulting with his other oncologists on the best course of treatment; my uncle has battled Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma not once - but twice. As soon as we find out how this new cancer will be treated, I will let you all know. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.
Yesterday, my partner and I were at a client's home in the South Austin area performing an Eco-Estate initial service that includes interior and exterior decontamination of previously sprayed synthetic pesticides. The client asked me what could have caused my uncle's lymphoma my answer - synthetic pesticides! The client said he believed he was doing his part in keeping his family away from dangerous pesticides by ridding his home of these poisons by way of our pesticide decontamination service and utilizing our always safe, always organic, no compromise, pest control.
Over the Christmas weekend, my family received the latest news from my uncle regarding his recent diagnosis of prostate cancer. This diagnosis is right on the heels of his two bouts with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Due to these two battles, which involved large doses of chemotherapy and radiation, his oncologists have decided to treat the prostate cancer with hormones. His immune system is simply much too compromised right now to attempt anything else. For twelve days he will take medication to reduce his testosterone level, and after the twelve days, he will be given a large injection of estrogen. Of course this will not really attack and fight this cancer, but it will prevent the prostate cancer from growing. hen his immune system is stronger, stronger measure will be used against the latest cancer to attack his body.
Because of this,(please see the back story above) and the large amounts of scientific research linking synthetic pesticides to all types of cancer and other serious health woes, it is my mission every day to get at least one person, one family, away from toxic pesticides.
